UPDATE 4.8

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed some responsiveness issues while changing browser size once it’s rendered.
• Modified Monetization Extension detection.
• Fixed an issue where blocks panel would disappear once a block was dragged in.
• Fixed an issue where the Phone Mock would go outside the screen on smaller display devices
• Fixed Sidebar not working once the orientation was changed.

BETA UPDATE 4.9

NEW FEATURE:

• We’ve added Pagination which lets users load few projects at a time preventing long loading times. The default limit is set at 10 Projects per page. This new feature would prevent timeouts for users with a lot of projects (yes there are users with 600+ Projects)

BETA UPDATE 4.9.2

BUG FIXES:

• Fixed an issue with some extensions causing D8 failure.

Note for Extension Developers
It is up to each extension developer to provide a version of their extension suitable for the specific platform. Kindly use the Library Manager as a reference to ensure that the libraries and classes used in your extension does not conflict with the version available on the builder. We prioritize the libraries used by us for our components. Conflicts would be resolved by removing the duplicate classes present in the extension.

Note for Users
Niotron Builder is not responsible to fix crashes and issues that were caused due to extensions. During updates we add/remove libraries, since we have a large number of components the libraries that change even during a small update is a lot. Kindly contact the extension developer to resolve the issues, just because the extension worked before the update doesn’t mean it’s our issue that it doesn’t work after.

NEW FEATURES:

  This lets you know when a user’s subscription state is changed as well as when a user state is changed.

BETA UPDATE 4.9.5

NEW CHANGES:

• Implemented new library dependencies for components.
• Reduced App Sizes, Empty App Size Reduced from 8MB to 6MB (approximate)
• Improved app startup time and execution time
• Removed MIN API Below Android 5. Android 5 is the minimum that can be supported under AndroidX.
• Updated few SDK’s, you can find the changes in the Library Manager.

BUG FIXES:

• Fixed Issues with Apps Crashing on Android version 7 and below.

This update brings a lot of changes under the hood. Do test your apps and let us know your feedback. App Compilation time has increased due to the optimizations done to the app.

BETA UPDATE 4.9.6

NEW CHANGES:

• Cross-Platform Project Import: For the first time in any App Inventor distribution, you can now import projects (AIA files) from other platforms. Unsupported components are replaced with placeholder components to retain layout structure, and incompatible blocks will be marked as bad blocks. Read More here…

• Improved project migration flow, allowing users to quickly transition apps between platforms while preserving as much functionality as possible.

• Added Light Green as a color block.

• Invalid Options block (Helpers) would now display as an InvalidOption along with being marked as a bad block (highlighted in red)

• General stability improvements and minor bug fixes.

This update is currently only available on the Beta Version, once it’s tested and found to be stable we would push the update to the Main Builder.

BUG FIXES:

• Companion connection issues have been resolved
• Projects containing extensions were causing issues with companion on Android Versions 14+, This issue has also been fixed.

BUG FIXES

• Fixed OneSignal Component causing crashes in some scenarios
• Projects imported from other platforms were being migrated incorrectly, Extensions that were present were also being migrated to placeholders.
• Issues with companion failing to download extension libraries after the initial connection.

BETA UPDATE 4.9.9

BUG FIXES

• Fixed App Crashes related to OneSignal and Admob Components.
• Kotlin Dependent extensions and Components were having issues, this has been resolved in the latest update.
• Kotlin jvm, android and its dependencies are by default available in Niotron starting V 4.9.9
• Fixed Inconsistent Payment and Authentication issues.

NEW CHANGES

• We’ve Implemented new Authentication and Payment System, this should make things simpler and easier for users resulting is fewer errors. As part of this update, you might need to reset your account password if you were using the standard email and password method. Users who were using Google and other OAuth methods can login as usual.

• Fixale Account has been deprecated. Each platform will have its own authentication system continuing forward.

• Implemented new Android Library management for the support of latest libraries, this should fix most of the Application crashes.

• Improve Database backend so projects and files should now load a bit faster.

• Updated few libraries, check Library manger for more info.

Due to the migration of the Payment System, your premium status will not be visible in the beta version until the migration is complete. Users are advised not to make additional payments until the migration is complete.

The version number isn’t changed in this update. Redownloading the companion is necessary

• java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError for SwipeRefreshLayout has been fixed.

The Update is available in both beta and main, companion version is still unchanged but you need to redownload the companion if you face issues.
