How to connect companion in android studio emulator

I am not getting usual enter code to connect screen. instead getting below message

how to connect in this case.

@Winter2 You cannot access the option to scan a QR code if you are using a USB connection.

it is a emulator from android studio.

@Winter2 then it should connect. Retry connecting or use an alternative emulator, such as genymotion.
