Exxo player and video player not accepting link as source

Hello everyone, I have been using exo player and video player components before, but nowadays, to my utmost surprise I tried to use both the components but they are not working when I use link as the player source. Please is there any change pertaining these components or I’m the one who is mistaking.

I also use deephost exoplayer extension but still the problem remain the same.
