Custom dialog not showing round corners of cardview

I have created a custom dialogue using card view. But while showing the dialogue card view’s sides are surrounded by a white space. Thus not getting rond corners

Which Android version (and which device)?
And did you test with Companion or the APK?

I have 19 real Android test devices with almost all common Android versions (4.x, 5.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13). So I can check it.
