We’ve identified a critical issue affecting ad behavior on Android 15 and 16. When users press the Back button while an ad is displayed (interstitial, or rewarded), the ad closes instantly without proper handling or fallback logic.
Steps to Reproduce:
Load any ad (e.g., interstitial or rewarded) in a Niotron-built app.
Press the device’s Back button while the ad is active.
Observe that the ad closes immediately without triggering any callbacks or fallback events.
Expected Behavior:
The ad should either:
Respect the ad network’s default back behavior (e.g., dismiss confirmation or reward validation)
Actual Behavior:
The ad is dismissed instantly, and no callback is triggered, breaking the expected flow and potentially affecting monetization and user experience.
Affected Platforms:
Android 15
Android 16
Niotron Builder (latest version as of October 2025)
Impact:
This bug disrupts ad mediation logic, especially in apps using fallback strategies or reward validation. It may also lead to revenue loss and poor user experience.
Please investigate and provide a fix or workaround. Let me know if logs or test projects are needed.
My apps are also having this issue, but the difference is that when I press BackPressed, no matter where I do it, the app always sends to Screen 1, or just closes.
I also use ADS, but the problem is that BackPressed isn’t working properly. I’d like to clarify that I’m using Niotron Beta, as it’s the most up-to-date version.
