Android SDK Version 36 is here!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have upgraded our Android SDK version to 36 (Android 16.0) on our beta server! :rocket:

We kindly request all our users to test their apps on the beta server and share any feedback about issues or unexpected behavior you encounter during this transition.

Since Niotron supports a wide range of components and diverse app implementations, it’s not feasible for us to test every possible scenario alone — your feedback is invaluable in helping us ensure a smooth and stable experience for everyone.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Please take a moment to test your apps and let us know what works and what needs improvement.

Thank you for being an essential part of the Niotron community!
We look forward to your feedback and appreciate your continued support.

Does Ads Components works on beta.niotron.com if I have monetization enabled in builder.niotron.com?

SourceFile - com.google.appinventor.components.runtime.ScaledFrameLayout.onLayout

  • java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

monetization should work on both, take a try first if problem persist then report.

when will it be released

It seems like quite the time to test out the new SDK Update. I haven’t seen any issues reported regarding the new SDK. Looking for final suggestions before pushing the update the main version.

Hello Nitron Team,

After updating to SDK 16, I noticed something unusual while using fullscreen ads in my app.

The ads are overlapping the status bar area, including the time, battery, and network icons. This wasn’t happening in SDK 14, so I’m not sure if this is a new expected behavior or something I might have missed in the settings.

If there is any specific configuration I should apply to fix this, please guide me.

I’m attaching a screenshot to help explain the issue. If this is a bug, I kindly request you to look into it and fix it in the next update.

Thank you for your great work and support.
